PERIOD PIECE PSAS

PERIOD is a youth led nonprofit organization that strives to eradicate period poverty and stigma. With a budget of zero dollars, we worked with the organization to create a fundraising campaign called Period Piece PSAs. The insight behind this campaign was based on the fact that even though it’s 2021, 64% of menstruators still struggle to afford period products today — just like during the old ages. Inspired by period piece dramas like Bridgerton, Harlots, Hamilton (and more) we launched our own period piece parody called the Red Plague. We then reached out to actors and content creators, providing toolkits (with scripts, green screen backgrounds, costume ideas and sounds), to film their own #PeriodPiecePSAs and help raise awareness on the issue as well as encourage others to join. We also had the opportunity to create some billboards to spread our message in Portland, Oregon.

More than Doubled State of the Period Fundraising from last year = $265k
